Slate and Ashe are consumed with guilt over their failures. Ashe studies the scene of Haley's kidnapping and manages to uncover a small clue to her whereabouts. Slate's grief leads him down a much less productive path. In an attempt to take his own life, he crosses paths with Ashe. Leading to the two natural enemies battling one another to the death in a facility already overrun by the dying, dead and undead.
